Instructions apply to all Alexa-enabled devices including the Amazon Echo andEcho Show.
If this is your first Alexa-enabled machine, you may not need to take steps 2-4 below.
Instead, you will be prompted to begin setup once the app has been launched.

drop your Amazon account credentials and pressSign In.
If prompted, tap theGet Startedbutton.
You now might be asked to give Amazon permission to access your Contacts and Notifications.

This is not necessary to connect your unit to Wi-Fi, so select eitherLaterorAllowdepending on your individual preference.
Tap on the Alexamenubutton, represented by three horizontal lines and located in the upper left-hand corner.
When the drop-down menu appears, opt for prefs option.

Tap theAdd New Devicebutton.
If your equipment is already plugged in, you may have to press and hold itsActionbutton.
Once you’ve determined that your equipment is ready, select theContinuebutton.

AConnected to [unit name]confirmation message may now be displayed.
If so, tapContinue.
A list of available Wi-Fi networks will now be shown within the app itself.

choose the web connection that you wish to pair with your Alexa-enabled unit and enter a password if prompted.
The app screen may now readPreparing Your [unit name],accompanied by a progress bar.
Tap the menu icon, then theSettingsoption.
TapDevice controls, then choose the gadget you want to change the Wi-Fi web link for.
TapChange, next toWi-Fi connection.
The setup is now the same as above, starting at Step 10.
SelectSettings>Set up a New unit, choose your Alexa, then follow the instructions.
If you don’t see your rig listed, you must use the app.
Some Alexa devices also have a reset button.
Then, go to your devices Bluetooth controls and select your Echo Dot to connect.
