Information in this article applies to Macs with OS X Lion (10.7) and later.
The caveat to this method is that you better buy a micro SD card reader.
Pop out the SD card.

Insert the SD card into the slot on the reader.
Connect the SD card reader to your Mac.
ClickUntitledin the left navigation pane.

If the SD card has a name other than Untitled, click it.
Double-poke the folder namedDCIMand then double-poke the folder named101GOPRO.
Two-finger tap (or right-click if using a mouse) any file you want to copy.

To select more than one file, click and hold theCommandkey while selecting the files you want to copy.
In the Finder app, navigate to the location where you want to copy the files.
The files are copied to the Mac.

Eject the SD card from the Mac before removing the reader.
You need a USB-C cable to connect the GoPro to the Mac.
Turn on the GoPro.

smack the name of your GoPro in the left navigation window.
opt for folder to house the imported files from theImport Todrop-down menu and clickImport All.
After the import is complete, closeImage Captureand unplug the GoPro from the Mac.

Transfer GoPro Files With GoPro Quik
GoPro has its own solution called Quik.
Using Quik requires a free account, so sign up for a GoPro account before launching the software.
Click theLaunchPadon the Dock.

Typequikand click theGoPro Quiklauncher.
sign on with your GoPro account username and password.
ClickImport Filesand wait for the import to complete.

Close Quik and unplug the GoPro from the Mac.
FAQ
Download the Quik App to connect GoPro to your iPhone.
On GoPro, tapSettings>ConnectorPreferences>Connect>PairorPair Through the GoPro App.

Then, on the Quik app, choose thecameraicon.
Then, plug an HDMI-to-micro HDMI cable into the GoPro micro HDMI port.
Plug the other end of the cable into the TV HDMI input.
