Here’s how to find and browse through them:

Open your phone’sSettingsapp.

The sound options contain all sorts of options to adjust the different volume levels and tones on your unit.

Find thePhoneRingtoneoption and select it.

You can change your ringtone in the Android Settings app

Depending on which version of Android you’re using, the Phone Ringtone option might be under theAdvancedsection.

If so, tap on the down arrow to open it up.

From here, you see a list of ringtones or a list of ringtone categories available on your equipment.

it’s possible for you to tap a ringtone once to hear what it sounds like.

When you find one you want to use as your default ringer, tapOKorSaveto save the selection.

Here’s how to do it:

Launch the controls app, then tapSounds and vibration.

FindRingtonein the list and tap it.

Choose the ringtone you want to set for your phone.

Finally, tap theback arrowat the bottom of your screen to set your new ringtone.

you’re free to tap the Home button to dismiss theSettingsapp.

Most Android devices can use regular music files as ringtones.

While plenty of devices accept other formats, sticking toMP3andOGGis generally a good idea.

Connect your Android gadget to your setup via a USB cable.

Usually, you might use the cable that’s part of your charger.

On your Android equipment, swipe down from the top of the screen to see your notifications.

You should see a system notification stating that your rig is connected via USB for charging.

A new dialog box opens up and allows you to choose what the USB is used for.

your setup might automatically open a window showing the phone’s storage.

If it does, skip to Step 6.

Navigate to where your unit is mounted.

This is the same location your PC displays connected USB drives.

On Windows, it’sThis PC.

In your Android gadget’s internal storage, find and open theRingtonesfolder.

Copy any music files you want to use as ringtones into this folder.

The search results include many appssome paid and some free.

It also includes notification sounds, app icons, alarms, and free wallpapers.

Categories include rock, rap, and country, plus classic ringtones and sound effects.

Assign the ringtones to individual contacts from within the app.
