Windows allows you to choose among several native themes and customize the cosmetics with third-party cursor packs.

Lets change the default cursor first.

Search Mouse Settings from Windows Search

Go to Windows Search on your Windows 10 taskbar.

pop in “Mouse” to display search results related to the mouse.

opt for top result that saysMouse Settingsor “Change your mouse prefs” to launch theSettingsscreen.

Select theOKbutton to exit the dialog if you like the scheme.

In short, it’s possible for you to mix and match them to create a color scheme.

Downloaded cursor packs can have both CUR and ANI files.

Files withCUR extensions are static cursors, while ANI file formats are animated cursor files.

Highlight and grab the pointer or cursor you want to change.

Selecting Apply or OK.

SelectBrowseon the bottom right-hand corner of the Mouse Properties screen.

It will pop fire up Windows Cursors folders (C:\Windows\Cursors).

Select a cursor that matches the function you want it to perform.

Browse for new Windows cursor

Then pressApplyto finalize your new cursor.

Save this custom scheme by selectingSave As> give the scheme a new name, and pressOk.

On theMouse pointerscreen, move the slider underChange pointer size and colorto increase or decrease the pointer size.

Select a thumbnail to change the color.

Save cursor scheme

Move toMake visual feedback for touch points darker and larger.

Drag the slider to the right to change the cursors thickness.

Note:

you’re able to easily install third-party cursor packs that have an INF file.

Selecting OK.

Just right-choose the INF file and chooseInstall.

The installed set will appear under the Scheme dropdown.
