How to Change the Search Engine in Chrome for Mac
Open Google Chrome.

Select theChrome main menu(three vertical dots) in the upper-right corner.
When the drop-down menu appears, selectSettings.
In the Chrome prefs interface, scroll down until you locate theSearch enginesection.

Select theSearch engine used in the address bardrop-down menuand selectGoogle,Yahoo!,Bing,DuckDuckGo,orEcosia.
If you want to add options to this list, selectManage search engines.
In theOther search enginessection, selectAdd.

TheAdd search enginedialog appears, overlaying the main internet tool window.
Enter the search engine name, its URL, and a keyword, if you like.
SelectAddto complete the process.

The newly added search engine is listed underOther Search Engines.
Select theFirefoxmenu, located in the upper-left corner of the screen.
When the drop-down menu appears, selectPreferences.

Alternatively, enterabout:preferencesinto the Firefox address bar.
In the Firefox Preferences interface, selectSearch, located in the left menu pane.
Add more search engines to Firefox by selectingFind more search enginesat the bottom of the Search Preferences screen.

Open Opera.
Select theOperamenu, located in the upper-left corner of the screen.
In the Opera prefs interface, scroll down to theSearch enginesection.

To add new options to this list, selectManage search engines.
Scroll down to theOther search enginessection and selectAdd.
Enter the search engine name along with its corresponding query URL and optional keyword value, if desired.
