Here’s how to change skins in Minecraft for every platform.
Download a custom skin from a website likeMinecraft SkindexorNameMC.
If you want to use preset skins offered by Minecraft, you’re free to skip ahead.

Launch Minecraft and selectDressing Roombelow your character on the home screen.
Select theClassic Skinsicon (the green coat hanger) on the left side.
Alternatively, select theCharacter Creatoricon to purchase outfits and accessories for your character.

To upload a custom skin, select thegray figureunder Owned Skins and selectChoose New Skin.
Locate and grab the file for your custom skin to upload it.
The skin will then be selectable under Owned Skins.

To add another skin, selectChoose New Skin.
When you return to the start screen, you should see your new avatar.
SelectDressing Roomwhenever you want to change it.

You must upload custom skins to your profile on the Minecraft website.
The skin will be applied automatically the next time you start the game.
Download a custom skin from a website like Minecraft Skindex or NameMC.

In a web online window, go toMinecraft.netand jump in to your Minecraft account.
On the left side, selectMy Game, then scroll down and selectChange Skinunder Minecraft Java Edition.
Choose a body throw in.

Scroll down and chooseSelect File, then locate and pick the file for your skin.
Once your skin is uploaded, it will be applied immediately the next time you start the game.
To change your skin again, return to this page and selectReset Skin.

Skip ahead if you’re OK using the preset skins.
Launch Minecraft and tap thecoat hangerbelow your character on the start screen.
Locate and opt for file for the custom skin to upload it, then choose a body key in.

TapConfirmto apply the new skin.
You’ll return to the start screen where you should see your new avatar.
