If all else fails, resetting the print spooler may solve the problem.
you might also jump into the printer queue through the printer icon in the Taskbar.
Select theWindowsicon, then select thegearicon to open Windows tweaks.

On the left-hand side, selectPrinters & scanners.
snag the printer on which to cancel the print job.
The print queue should open showing all print jobs for the printer you selected.

choose the document, then selectDocument>Cancel.
you’re able to also right-nudge the print job and selectCancel.
To cancel all print jobs, selectPrinter>Cancel All Documents.

Your print job is now canceled.
Within the Windows Taskbar, selectSearchorCortanain the bottom left side of your screen.
In the search box, enterControl Paneland select it.

You should see all of your external devices and printers.
opt for printer for which you want to erase the print job.
From the menu below the path, selectSee what’s printing.

you’ve got the option to also right-poke the printer, then selectSee what’s printing.
There are additional steps to regain control of your printer.
Go to your Taskbar and right-click theprintericon.

SelectOpen All Active Printers.
Highlight the document(s).
SelectDocumentto find a few troubleshooting print options: Pause, Resume, and Restart.

To temporarily halt printing on a stuck job so other print jobs might print, selectPause.
Then, once the other print jobs complete, selectResume.
Alternatively, selectPrinter>Pause Printing.

SelectRestartto reinitiate the print job and hopefully clear up any errors so the print job can finish.
The Print Spooler communicates your print command to the printer and it can sometimes get stuck.
SelectSearchorCortanaon the bottom left side of your desktop.

Scroll down and selectPrint Spooler.
To the left, selectStop.
Alternatively, right-clickPrint Spoolerand selectStop.

You should see a dialog box confirming the stopping of the service.
Now, selectRestart the service.
Alternatively, right-clickPrint Spooler, then selectRestart.

you’re free to also right-smack the Print Spooler then selectPropertiesto find additional stop and restart controls.
You should see a dialog box about restarting the Print Spooler service.
You’ve now reset your printer spooler.
