Tired of a friend’s stories and snaps?
Then, enter their name in a search.
Tap the user to open a chat with them.
Tap themenuicon in the upper-left corner of the chat tab.
TapBlockfrom the list of menu options that appear.
Confirm that you want to block the user by tapping theBlockbutton on the confirmation box.
What Happens When You Block Someone on Snapchat?
When you block a user on Snapchat, you prevent that user from reaching or finding you.
To them, your Snapchat activity and account don’t exist.
Snapchat doesn’t send a notification to a user you blocked.
Still, there are other less restrictive methods you’ve got the option to use.
You just won’t be bothered by a notification every time they do.
They can still see your account and view the public stories you post.
They might even be able to send you snaps and chats,depending on your privacy controls.
To delete a user from your friends, tap on a friend to open a chat.
Then, tap themenuicon and tapRemove Friendfrom the menu list.
This alternative goes hand in hand with deleting users from your friends list.
To change these controls, tap yourprofileicon in the upper-left corner of the app.
Tap thegearicon to access your parameters, and scroll down to theWho Cansection.
TapContact Meand selectMy Friendsso that only your friends can send you snaps or chats.
Go back, tapView My Story, and selectMy Friends.
Alternatively, tapCustomto create a custom privacy filter so that certain friends can’t see your stories.
