How to Appear Offline on Xbox One

initiate the Xbox Guide by pressing theGuidebutton on your controller.

With the Guide open, navigate toSystem(indicated by the gear icon) and then selectSettings.

With the controls menu open, navigate toAccount>Privacy & online safety.

With this option set, you will appear offline to everyone, including your friends.

ChooseFriendsinstead ofBlockif you want people on your friends list to be able to see your online status.

To completely undo this process, simply selectEverybodyinstead ofBlock.

With the Online Status menu open, selectAppear Offline.

With an Xbox 360, there’s no way to appear offline to everyone but your friends.

If you set yourself to appear offline, none of your friends will see that you’re online.

Then, press theXbox buttonagain and selectProfile & System>controls>General>connection controls>Go offline.
