Here’s what to do if you’re using an older version of Chrome:
Open Chrome.
When the drop-down menu appears, selectSettings.
TheSettingsscreen can also be accessed by enteringchrome://settingsinto Chrome’s address bar.

Locate theAppearancesection, which contains an option labeledAlways show the bookmarks baraccompanied by a checkbox.
To disable this feature at a later time, simply remove the checkmark.
On a Mac, Chrome bookmarks are kept inLibrary>software Support>Google>Chrome>Default.

Right-clickon a bookmark and selectDeletefrom the drop-down menu.
Or, select thethree dotsin the top-right corner of Chrome and selectBookmarks>Bookmark Manager.
Then find the bookmark you want and select thethree dotsnext to its name, followed byDelete.
