The Ring and Ring 2 doorbells can be adjusted to have a range of between 5 and 30 feet.
To toggle zones on and off, simply tap the zone in question.
A pop-up will appear prompting you to press the Ring doorbell button to confirm your changes.

when you land done so, pressContinueon the app and back up your changes.
The more alerts you get, the faster your Rings battery will be depleted.
The Ring 2 doorbell range can also be adjusted but has 5 zones instead of 3.

The frequency of alerts can also be adjusted in a similar manner.
You canperform a hard reseton the motion detector.
Use a paperclip to press and hold the reset button.
The pinhole is located on the back of the unit.
The sensor light should begin blinking.
Hold the button down until the blinking stops.
Take off the cover from your motion sensor and remove the battery.
Replace the battery and put the cover back on the rig.
Remove the cover from your Ring doorbell and remove the battery.
Press and hold the tamper button located by the antenna.
Insert the battery while holding the tamper button.
Once the light starts flashing, hold the button until it stops flashing.
Put the cover back on the unit.
If your Ring doorbellruns out of power, it is possible torecharge it.
Note that this process is different for 1st and 2nd models.
Remove the security screws, then pull off the doorbell’s faceplate.
