SelectChange display settingsfrom the left side of the window.

Use theAdvanced settingslink to kick off the display adapter’s prefs.

In theAdaptertab, openList All Modes.

ChooseOKto close that box, and then again to kill the adapter’s prefs.

Windows Vista

If you run Windows Vista, the process is a little different.

Go toStartand thenControl Panel.

Typepersonalizationin the search box after clickingStart.

ChoosePersonalizationfrom the list of results and then skip to Step 4.

If you’re viewing theClassic ViewofControl Panel, you won’t see this link.

Simply double-clickPersonalizationand proceed to Step 4.

Locate theColorsdrop-down box on the right-hand side of the window.

Under most circumstances, the best choice is the highest “bit” available.

Generally, this will be theHighest (32 bit)option.

Some types of software require the colors display setting to be set at a lower rate than suggested above.

If you receive errors when opening certain software titles, be sure to make any changes here as necessary.

SelectOKto confirm the changes.

If prompted, follow any additional on-screen directions.

Open Control Panel by going toStartand choosingControl Panel.

If you don’t see that option then it means you’re viewing Control Panel inClassic View.

OpenDisplayinstead, and then skip down to Step 4.

From the bottom of that screen, chooseDisplay.

Open theSettingstab in theDisplay Propertieswindow.

Locate theColor qualitydrop-down box on the right-hand side of the window.

For multiple monitor setups, be sure to choose the right monitor from the monitor box above the options.
