Open your PowerPoint presentation inNormalview.
Navigate to the firstslidein your presentation.
Go toInsertand, in theTextgroup, selectSlide Number.
In theHeader and Footerdialog box, select theSlidetab.
In theInclude on slidearea, place a check next toSlide number.
In thePreviewarea, youll see a representation of where the slide number will appear on your slide.
Navigate to each slide you want slide numbers to appear on and perform these steps again.
UnderNumber slides from, choose the beginning number you want.
In PowerPoint 2010, go toDesignand, in thePage Setupgroup, selectPage Setup.
Then, underNumber slides from, opt for beginning number you want.
ThePreviewarea shows how the slide number will appear on your slide.
SelectApplyto apply only to the current slide or selectApply to Allto apply to all slides.
