fire up the pattern you want to add in Photoshop and go toSelect>Allin the main task bar.

If you only want to select part of the image,use the Photoshop Marquee tool.

SelectEdit>Define Pattern.

Give your pattern a name and selectOK.

To back up your pattern in a set for future use, go toEdit>Presets>Preset Manager.

choose the patterns you want to include in the set, then selectSave Set.

To choose multiple patterns, hold the Shift key as you make your selection.

Give your presets a name and selectSave.

It should be saved to thePhotoshop\Presets\Patternsfolder on your system.

Give your pattern a name and select OK.

Your new pattern set will be available from the patterns menu.

If you don’t see your patterns listed, go for the gear icon, then selectLoad Patterns.

Name the pattern, and then tapSave.

Open theLibraries palettein Photoshop to see your pattern.

Large pattern sets can take a long time to load.

Give your presets a name and select Save.

Open the Libraries palette in Photoshop to see your pattern.
