Add an Image to Your Thunderbird Signature

This is a multi-step process.

First, you’ll create your signature using the attached photo.

While the process is straightforward, it requires several steps to complete.

Compose a new, empty using HTML formatting.

If an existing signature shows up, delete everything in the body of the message.

Build the signature to your liking, including any text that should be included.

Place the cursor on a new line and selectInsert>Imageto add a picture to the body.

SelectChoose Fileand pick an image from your gear.

SelectOKto place the image.

Either enter some text in theAlternate textsection or chooseDon’t use alternate text.

Drag the handles to resize the image if needed.

Double-nudge the picture for some advanced options.

SelectFile>Save As>File.

If you don’t see the menu bar, press theAltkey.

Confirm that theFormatorSave as typeoption is set toHTML.

Choose a name for the file and save it.

terminate the new message you created, and discard the draft.

SelectTools>Account Settingsfrom the menu bar.

opt for email address in the left pane for any account that should use the custom email signature.

This option disables any signature text that was included in the section above.

Navigate to the HTML file you saved in Step 9, and selectOpen.

When you start a new email, the signature appears automatically.
