Choose the graphic you want to use as a watermark, then selectOpen.

Select theMovetool, then position the graphic in the desired location.

Go toWindows>Dockable Dialogs>Layersto open theLayerspalette(if it isn’t visible).

choose the layer with your watermark graphic, then drag theOpacityslider to the left to make the image semi-transparent.

Depending on the photo being watermarked, change the color of the graphic.

In theToolspalette, selectForeground Colorto open theChange Foreground Colordialog box, choose a color, then selectOK.

Go toEdit>Fill With FG Colorto change the color of the graphic.

Go to theLayerspalette, choose the graphic layer, then select thepaintbrushicon.

smack the empty space under the paintbrush to ensure that transparent pixels remain transparent if you edit the layer.
