How to Start Windows 11, 10 & 8 in Safe Mode

Open parameters window by pressingWin+i.

The other way to do this in Windows 11/10 is by right-clicking the Start button and choosingSettings.

In Windows 11, selectSystemand thenRecovery.

In Windows 8, go toChange PC parameters>Update & recovery>Recovery.

When you restart, you’ll be directed to this screen.

After another restart, you’ll see several startup options.

Wait while Windows starts up in Safe Mode.

EnableSafe bootat the bottom, under theBoot optionssection.

SelectMinimalto enable Safe Mode, or chooseNetworkif you’ll need internet connectivity while in Safe Mode.

SelectOK, and then chooseRestart.

If you don’t see the restart prompt,restart normally from the Start menu.

your gear will restart to the Safe Mode you selected in Step 4.
