Why not see how this shakes out against the others that I’ve used?

The first thing I installed wasthe Arlo Video Doorbell 2K (2nd gen).

Arlo Home Security System with All-in-One Sensor and Arlo Doorbell Camera.

It can be wired or wireless, but I opted to go the wireless route.

Quick note about the Arlo App: I love how simple it is to use.

The Home Security System and All-in-One Sensors were up next.

The Arlo Doorbell Camera, mounted by a door lock.

This is where I hit a little stumbling block.

Every part of this system was easy to add.

I can’t imagine it would take much longer to add cameras to the mix.

The Arlo Sensor Hub that includes a motion sensor.

But do you need a plan?

That really depends on what you need a home security system for.

Are the Arlo Security Products Worth It?

An Arlo All-in-One Sensor.

The All-in-One Sensor can detect opening and closing doors, motion, and more.Lifewire / Jerri Ledford

The big question is always whether a product is worth the price.

The Arlo Home Security System with two All-in-One Sensors will cost you about $200.

Additional sensors run around $30 each.

The Arlo Security Tag.

The Security Tag lets you disarm your security system at the Sensor Hub or at the doorbell camera.Lifewire / Jerri Ledford

The 2K Video Doorbell will cost you about $130, andthe Security Tagsare $20 for a two-pack.

That put Arlo’s security products in the same general price range as other home security providers.

Or a security camera first, and then a Home Security System with All-in-One sensors.

However best suits your needs.
