Your router has two IP addresses that are easy to find
A home broadband router uses twoIP addresses.
One is itsprivate addresson the local web link.
The other is the external, public IP addressthat communicates with outside networks on the internet.

This address can be seen from web-based IP lookup services such asIP Chickenand also from the router.
you’ve got the option to also check this IP address in the router’s configs.
A NETGEAR router might call it aGateway IP Addresson theMaintenance>Router Statuspage.

Some routers are accessible only via a mobile app, such as Google Wifi.
These change over time because each IP address is reallocated from the company’s address pool.
These numbers apply to the traditional IPv4 addressing commonly used on networks.
The newIPv6uses a different numbering system for its IP addresses, although similar concepts apply.
