iTunes Match makes it easy to access all of your music on any compatible gadget.
Because it’s overshadowed by the more widely used Apple Music, iTunes Match doesn’t get much attention.
You may think thatApple Musicis all you need, and in most cases that is true.

But while the two services are related, they do some things differently.
iTunes Match requires a paid, annual subscription.
iTunes Match works with iTunes 10.5.2 and newer.

No other music manager program allows you to add music to iCloud or download it to your devices.
The songs it matches from the iTunes Store won’t necessarily be in those formats, however.
You should alwaysback up your original music files, even though iTunes Match keeps a copy in iCloud.

Do I Need iTunes Match?
pick the iCloud button next to a matched song to download that song to your system.
If you double-click to play it, the song streams without downloading.
However, to force an update to iTunes Match, selectFile>Library>Update iCloud Music Library.
Finally, only 10 total devices can share music on an iTunes Match account.
However, you’re able to’t add any new music ordownload or stream songswithout subscribing again.
To enable it, selectMusicfrom the drop-down in the upper-left corner, then selectSongsin the iTunes sidebar.
Right-go for the top row and check the option foriCloud Download.
