Antivirus software can only check for malware the developer has discovered.
If a virus is new or unresearched, it won’t trigger the antivirus software.
sign in as the administrator.
Often this solves the issue.
If it doesn’t, it’s likely a problem with the file or with the installation media.
Scan the installation media for malware.
If the scan finds malware, immediately remove the drive andrun a full scan of your rig.
Update or reinstall the software.
Some updates may need to be run in a certain order.
If there are no other updates,uninstall the programand then reinstall it.
Disconnect all USB devices.
Open theDevice Managerand check the connected devices for anydriverupdates.
If any are marked with an exclamation point, update the Windows gadget drivers and reattempt the installation.
The download may be blocked by yourfirewall, so you may need to disable Windows Firewall.
Only do this with apps you trust and have verified are legitimate.
You may not be able to update a program if it is marked asread-only.
Find the software inWindows File Explorerand right-click it, then selectProperties.
Under theGeneraltab, selectRead-onlyif it’s checked to dump the check mark, then selectOKto save the changes.
You must be logged in to your administrator account to change a file’s properties.
Change the file security configs.
If some are marked asDenyor blank, selectEditto change all permissions toAllow.
Reset permissions with SubInACL.
This most commonly comes up when you’re installing new software or aWindows update.
