This process is known as tethering, and not all cell phone service providers allow tethering.
This may result in charges depending on how your mobile data contract is structured.
Press and hold theaction buttonuntil the Echo enters setup mode.
The ring light will turn orange to indicate setup mode is ready.
launch the Alexa app on your phone, and tapContinue.
Wait for Alexa to scan for Wi-Fi networks.
On the Wi-Fi connection screen, tapUse this unit as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Enter the web link name and password for your phone’s hotspot connection, and tapCONNECT.
Turn on your phone’s hotspot.
Return to the Alexa app and tapCONTINUE.
Select your preferred language, and tapCONTINUE.
Select a group for your Echo and tapCONTINUE, or tapSKIP.
Select an address and tapCONTINUE, or tapEnter a new address.
