Creating a Media Library in VLC Player

Select theToolsmenu tab and selectPreferences.

On a Mac, selectVLCfrom the menu bar and thenPreferences.

Switch to the advanced menu by selectingAllorShow Allin theShow settingssection.

SelectPlaylistfrom in the sidebar on the left.

pick the check box next toUse Media Libraryand thenSave.

check that the media library is in view.

If it’s not already, selectView>Playlist.Alternatively, pressCTRL+Lon a PCorCommand+Option+Pon a Mac.

SelectMedia Libraryfrom the left sidebar in the main playlist view.

Chances are you’ve got all your music in one main folder on your system orexternal hard drive.

Before you begin, see to it you have the latest version ofVLCinstalled on your box.
