The instructions apply to all Fire TV devices.
Apps can slow down and underperform due to a too large cache.
In both of these cases, the solution is to reset the cache.

Select an app to clear its cache.
If your app still doesn’t work correctly, repeat this process and selectClear data.
Some apps, like Firefox, also allow you toClear cookies.

What Is a Fire TV Cache?
PressHomeon your remote, and navigate toSettings>My Fire TV>About>Storage.
This screen allows you to see how much storage space your gadget has left.

you should probably selectDeviceorSysteminstead ofMy Fire TVwith some Fire TV devices and older software versions.
PressHomeon your remote, and navigate toSettings>Applications>Manage Applications.
Then it’s possible for you to identify which apps are taking up the most space.

Uninstall the app, dump the cache, or clear local data.
Repeat this process until you have enough free space.
It affects your entire Fire TV Stick instead of only dealing with one app at a time.

Do not perform a factory reset if your only goal is to erase the cache on a few apps.
Navigate toSettings>My Fire TV.
Depending on your gear, and the version of your software, you may seeDeviceorSysteminstead ofMy Fire TV.

SelectReset to Factory Defaults.
Wait for your Fire TV machine to reset.
Or, press and hold theBackandRightbuttons on the remote simultaneously, and then selectReset.

Plug the power cable into the adapter and Fire TV Stick.
Next, plug the power adapter into an outlet.
The Fire TV stick will search for and pair with your remote.

On the remote, selectHome>Playand follow the setup prompts.
Tocast to a Fire Stick from an Android, press the remote’s Home button and selectMirroring.
On the Android, openSettingsand selectConnectedDevices>Cast.

Your Android mobile equipment should now have its screen mirrored on your TV.
